We bring a thoughtful, hands-on approach to every project, with an emphasis on function and a collaborative process. With over a decade of experience designing residential interiors, we focus on creating spaces that are both beautiful and practical, tailored to support daily life, not compete with it.
We started LWA Interiors to help people create homes that reflect their lives. The most successful spaces are born from collaboration, not just between designer and client, but between a home’s layout, its quirks, and the way you want to live in it. Our role is to guide the process, interpret your vision, and design a home that feels as thoughtful as it is personal.

LYNN ACKERSON
Founder & Principal Designer
Lynn Ackerson is the founder of LWA Interiors, a Jersey City–based design studio creating warm, thoughtful, and personality-packed homes. Raised in a tiny upstate New York town, she studied interior design at the Fashion Institute of Technology after time abroad in Australia, and has been dreaming up beautiful spaces ever since.
Before launching her own studio, Lynn spent over a decade designing high-end residences at Alan Wanzenberg Design and Rees Roberts & Partners, working on homes from the East Coast to Sydney. Her style blends function with feeling: clean lines, bold color, smart furniture, and gorgeous materials you’ll want to touch. She loves spaces that tell a story and clients who enjoy the ride.
Lynn brings humor, curiosity, and calm to the design process and believes great projects come from great collaboration. She now lives near the Statue of Liberty with her longtime partner and two black cats. When she’s not designing, she’s traveling, building miniature furniture, or introducing interior design to high school students at her alma mater.
